Day Care Rules
Welcome to BlueDog daycare. Please review the following information. Although we are a fun based training/care facility, we do need to take care of business which means protecting not only ourselves but you and your pets.
- We have a zero tolerance policy for violence:
- Harming a dog in any way (defined by our staff) is grounds for immediate termination of our services.
- Acting in a violent way (defined by our staff) towards our staff or clients is grounds for immediate termination of our services.
- If your dog shows signs of aggression towards others (human or animal) we may separate your dog form the others until you pick them up. Their ability to return to daycare at a later date will be at the discretion of Blue Dog staff.
All Blue Dog staff has the right to terminate clients in situations involving violence. It is not necessary to have manager or owner approval.
- Vaccinations:
- All dogs are required to be current on all vaccination prior to beginning daycare.
- We require a copy of the vaccination records from your vet for our records.
- Any puppies showing up to the first class without such records will be denied
- Please contact us prior to showing up to daycare if your dog shows any of these symptoms: diarrhea, vomiting, excessive coughing or sneezing,severe lethargy.
- Drop-off and pick-up times:
- Dogs may be dropped off any time between the hours of 8:00am and5:30pm
- All dogs must be picked up by 5:30pm. If not picked up they will be kenneled.
- Any dog not picked up by 5:30pm is subject to a fee of $5 per half hour unless previously arranged with our staff.
- Medications:
- Any medications that you want administered by Blue Dog must be left with written instructions and a copy of a vet prescription is mandatory.
- We do not administer Ace Permanence
- Injuries:
- In the case that your dog is injured under our care we follow the below steps.
- In the case that we are unable to clearly state which dog was at fault the responsibility will fall on Blue Dog LLC.
- If your dog is the attacker you agree that you will be held responsible for all legal and medical matters. This pertains to your dog attacking/injuring another animal or human on the premises.
- In any case, both owners will be notified immediately. Both dogs will be separated from the rest of the dogs (and each other) until the ownerscan pick them up.
- Any dog that is injured to the point of needing medical attention will be rushed to Alpine veterinary clinic at the owners expense unless it is deemed the responsibility of Blue Dog LLC.
- In the case that your dog is injured under our care we follow the below steps.

Mating:
- All male dogs are required to be neutered.
- Copies of vet records stating the dog is spayed or neutered are mandatory.
- All male dogs are required to be neutered.
- Contact information:
- We require contact information (name and phone numbers at least)of you, an emergency contact in your absence and your vet.
- Lost or stolen items:
- Blue Dog is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal property.We provide a lost and found where lost items will be placed and held for a period of 30 days at which time they may or may not be discarded.(discarding is at the discretion of Blue Dog staff)
